Allen is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association and utilises a number of methods in his treatments including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese Medicine dietetic advice, cupping, guasha, tui na (Chinese remedial massage), and moxibustion.
While trained in treating an extensive range of disorders in various body systems, Allen has a particular passion for pain relief, shoulder pain, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Allen believes and practices the traditional eastern philosophy – that your body can self-heal. “Acupuncture developed from a philosophy of holistic balance and harmony. It sees the human being not as separate from nature, but as an interrelated and integral part of it. Therefore the body, like nature, is healthiest in balance when all systems and organs are functioning harmoniously, with the bodies natural energy flow”.
Allen has relocated from Canberra recently, being the principal therapist and owner of Ki Acupuncture, prior to which he was the principal Acupuncturist of Youthful Dragon in Paddington, Brisbane.
He is currently travelling with his wife, an Osteopath, and their daughter, bringing their therapies to outback and regional Australia.
